Objectives
Two full days of instruction provide the core knowledge needed to pass the adult CCRN exam and excel at the care provided to critically ill patients.
As a result of completing this seminar, the nurse will be able to answer test questions correctly and be successful on the CCRN exam due to knowledge gained during a comprehensive review of critical care conditions, assessment, diagnostics, pharmacology and other treatment modalities.
A review of the following is incorporated into this interactive seminar:
- Pain assessment
- Nutritional considerations
- Integumentary and lymphatic systems
- Musculoskeletal system
- Cardiovascular system
- Pulmonary system
- Abdominal assessment
- Gastrointestinal system
- Genitourinary system
- Neurological system
A comprehensive review of pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, pharmacology is presented for each system. Procedures such as hemodynamic monitoring, 12-lead ECG interpretation and ventilatory management are reviewed with clinical case studies to reinforce understanding. Principles behind evidenced protocols for conditions such as sepsis and diabetic ketoacidosis are reviewed to enhance knowledge.

Cynthia (Cindy) Liette, MS, APRN-CNS, CCRN-K has been a nurse for more than 40 years. Her career focus has been the delivery of quality care by nurses who are knowledgeable and strive to be the best they can be.
She has always been directly involved in patient care even when serving in an administrative position. Cindy has spent her career making a difference through mentoring and being an inspiration to others.
